Republic of Indonesia Visa Application For Family Unification

Foreigner who joins himself with a husband or wife who is an Indonesian citizen;

  1. Application letter from husband or wife of Indonesian citizen;
  2. Photocopy of Nationality Passport which is valid and still valid for at least 18 (eighteen) months;
  3. photocopy of marriage certificate or marriage book;
  4. a letter of proof of marriage reporting from the Representative of the Republic of Indonesia and a photocopy of the marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English, if the marriage is conducted outside the territory of the Republic of Indonesia;
  5. proof of having the cost of living for himself and/or his family while in the Indonesian Territory of at least US$1500 (one thousand five hundred US dollars); and
  6. 2 (two) pieces of color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.

Foreigner who joins his husband or wife holding a limited Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit;

  1. Guarantee Letter from the Guarantor;
  2. photocopy of a valid Nationality Passport and still valid for a minimum of 18 (eighteen) months for Foreigners who follow their husband or wife holding a limited Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit for less than 1 (one) year;
  3. photocopy of marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
  4. Photocopy of limited Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit or Approval Letter for a husband or wife's limited stay visa which is valid and still valid;
  5. proof of having the cost of living for himself and/or his family while in the Indonesian Territory of at least US$1500 (one thousand five hundred US dollars); and
  6. 2 (two) pieces of color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.

Children resulting from legal marriages between foreigners and Indonesian citizens;

  1. Guarantee Letter from the Guarantor;
  2. photocopy of a valid Nationality Passport and still valid for a minimum of 18 (eighteen) months for Foreigners who follow their husband or wife holding a limited Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit for less than 1 (one) year;
  3. photocopy of marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
  4. Photocopy of limited Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit or Approval Letter for a husband or wife's limited stay visa which is valid and still valid;
  5. proof of having the cost of living for himself and/or his family while in the Indonesian Territory of at least US$1500 (one thousand five hundred US dollars); and
  6. 2 (two) pieces of color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.

Children who are not yet 18 (eighteen) years old and unmarried from Foreigners who are legally married to Indonesian citizens;

  1. Guarantee Letter from the Guarantor;
  2. a letter of application from the father or mother of an Indonesian citizen;
  3. Photocopy of Nationality Passport which is valid and still valid for at least 18 (eighteen) months;
  4. Photocopy of birth certificate which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
  5. Photocopy of marriage certificate or parents' marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
  6. A photocopy of the identity card of the father or mother of an Indonesian citizen that is still valid;
  7. Photocopy of the family card of the father or mother of an Indonesian citizen.
  8. a letter of proof of parental marriage reporting, for those who marry outside the Indonesian Territory;
  9. proof of having the cost of living for himself and/or his family while in the Indonesian Territory of at least US$1500 (one thousand five hundred US dollars); and
  10. 2 (two) color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.

Children who are not yet 18 (eighteen) years old and unmarried who join their parents holding limited Stay Permits or Permanent Stay Permits.

  1. Guarantee Letter from the Guarantor;
  2. photocopy of valid and still valid Nationality Passport: a. at least 30 (thirty) months for foreign children who follow parents holding limited Stay Permits or Permanent Stay Permits with a validity period of more than 1 (one) year; or b. a minimum of 18 (eighteen) months for foreign children who follow their parents holding a Limited Stay Permit or Permanent Stay Permit with a validity period of less than 1 (one) year.
  3. Photocopy of birth certificate which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
  4. Photocopy of marriage certificate or parents' marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
  5. photocopy of parent's limited Stay Permit card or parent's permanent Stay Permit card that is still valid;
  6. proof of having the cost of living for himself and/or his family while in the Indonesian Territory of at least US$1500 (one thousand five hundred US dollars); and
  7. 2 (two) color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.

Payment Components (per application)

  1. Visa approval (telex): IDR 200,000,-
  2. Limited Stay Visa: 150 US dollars
  3. Limited Stay Permit: fee according to the length of Stay Permit granted.
  4. Re-Entry Permit: fee according to the length of Re-Entry Permit granted.
