Temporary Stay Visa for Joining Family (Index C317)
This Temporary Stay Visa is granted to foreign nationals who intend to join their families in Indonesia. Holders of this visa are not allowed to work in Indonesia.

You are allowed to stay in Indonesia for six months or 180 days, one year, or two years depending on your application.
Stay permit for this type of visa is extendable.
JOIN THE HUSBAND/WIFE OF INDONESIAN CITIZENS
You or your sponsor can apply for a Temporary Stay Visa through the Online Visa Approval application, and submit the below documents:
- Application letter from husband or wife of Indonesian citizen;
- a valid nationality passport.
- A minimum of 12 (twelve) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 6 (six) months.
- A minimum of 18 (eighteen) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 1 (one) year.
- A minimum of 30 (thirty) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 2 (two) years.
- a letter of proof of marriage reporting from the Indonesian Mission abroad and the marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English, if the marriage is conducted outside Indonesia;
- proof of funds of at least US$2000 (two thousand US dollars) or equivalent to support the cost of living of foreign nationals and/or their family in Indonesia.
- 2 (two) color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.
JOIN THE HUSBAND/WIFE HOLDER OF TEMPORARY STAY PERMIT (ITAS)/PERMANENT STAY PERMIT (ITAP)
You or your sponsor can apply for a Temporary Stay Visa through the Online Visa Approval application, and submit the below documents:
- Letter of sponsorship from the same sponsor of the husband or wife holder of ITAS/ITAP;
- a valid nationality passport.
- A minimum of 12 (twelve) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 6 (six) months.
- A minimum of 18 (eighteen) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 1 (one) year.
- A minimum of 30 (thirty) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 2 (two) years.
- marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
- a husband/wife's valid ITAS or ITAP;
- proof of funds of at least US$2000 (two thousand US dollars) or equivalent to support the cost of living of foreign nationals and/or their family in Indonesia.
- 2 (two) color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.
JOIN THE PARENT/PARENTS OF INDONESIAN CITIZENS
You or your sponsor can apply for a Temporary Stay Visa through the Online Visa Approval application, and submit the below documents:
- a letter of application from the father or mother of an Indonesian citizen;
- a valid nationality passport.
- A minimum of 12 (twelve) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 6 (six) months.
- A minimum of 18 (eighteen) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 1 (one) year.
- A minimum of 30 (thirty) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 2 (two) years.
- a photocopy of the birth certificate which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
- a photocopy of parents' marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
- a valid Indonesian Resident Card (KTP) of an Indonesian father or mother;
- a Family Card (KK) of an Indonesian father or mother;
- a letter of proof of parents' marriage report to the Indonesian Mission abroad, for those who marry outside the Indonesian Territory;
- proof of funds of at least US$2000 (two thousand US dollars) or equivalent to support the cost of living of foreign nationals and/or their family in Indonesia.
- 2 (two) color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.
JOIN THE PARENT/PARENTS OF INDONESIAN CITIZENS WHO HAVE LEGAL FAMILY RELATIONS
You or your sponsor can apply for a Temporary Stay Visa through the Online Visa Approval application, and submit the below documents:
- a letter of application from the father or mother of an Indonesian citizen;
- a valid nationality passport.
- A minimum of 12 (twelve) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 6 (six) months.
- A minimum of 18 (eighteen) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 1 (one) year.
- A minimum of 30 (thirty) months for those who will stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 2 (two) years.
- a photocopy of the birth certificate which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
- a photocopy of parents' marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;

CHILDREN UNDER 18 AND NOT MARRIED JOINING THEIR PARENT OF FOREIGN NATIONAL WHO MARRIED TO AN INDONESIAN CITIZEN

You or your sponsor can apply for a Temporary Stay Visa through the Online Visa Approval application, and submit the below documents:
- Letter of sponsorship from the same sponsor of parents holder of ITAS/ITAP;

- a photocopy of parents' marriage certificate or marriage book which has been translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except for English;
- a photocopy of parents' valid ITAS/ITAP;
- proof of funds of at least US$2000 (two thousand US dollars) or equivalent to support the cost of living of foreign nationals and/or their family in Indonesia.

Sponsors or foreign nationals can apply for a visa on the official website of the Directorate General of Immigration at www.imigrasi.go.id or directly on the Online Visa Approval application.

The processing time for a visitor visa is 4 (four) working days after the applicant completes the immigration fee payment. Sponsors or applicants can check their visas in the Online Visa Approval application account and email.
