Temporary Stay Visa for Work (C312) is granted to foreign nationals as experts/specialists employed in Indonesia by their sponsors.

DESCRIPTION

Working as an expert A foreign national employed by the sponsor as an expert.
a Foreign National working on a vessels, floating infrastructures, or installation operating in the Indonesia’s archipelago waters, territorial seas, continental shelves, and/or Exclusive Economic Zone of Indonesia. A foreign national who does not arrive with their means of transportation and is employed by the sponsor as an expert on a vessel or floating infrastructure which operates in Indonesia’s archipelago waters, territorial seas, continental shelves, and/or the Exclusive Economic Zone of Indonesia.
Expert in goods or production quality control Employed by the sponsor as an expert in goods or production quality control.
Inspector or auditor A foreign national employed by the sponsor to conduct an inspection or audit.
After-sales services A foreign national employed by the sponsor to provide after-sales service.
Machinery or engine repairment A foreign national employed by the sponsor to repair engines or machines.
Construction A foreign national employed by the sponsor to perform construction work.
Expert in the film/cinema industry A foreign national employed by the sponsor as an expert in the film/cinema industry.
Prospective foreign workers who will undergo a skills qualification test. A foreign national invited by the sponsor to test their skills and qualifications before working in Indonesia.

You are allowed to stay in Indonesia for six months or 180 days, one year, or two years depending on your application.
Stay permit for this type of visa is extendable.

You or your sponsor can apply for a Temporary Stay Visa through the Online Visa Approval application, and submit the below documents:

    1. Letter of sponsorship from employer.
    2. a valid nationality passport.
      • A minimum of 12 (twelve) months for those who will work in Indonesia for a maximum of 6 (six) months.
      • A minimum of 18 (eighteen) months for those who will work in Indonesia for a maximum of 1 (one) year.
      • A minimum of 30 (thirty) months for those who will work in Indonesia for a maximum of 2 (two) years.
    3. proof of funds of at least US$2000 (two thousand US dollars) or equivalent to support the cost of living of foreign nationals and/or their family in Indonesia.
    4. 2 (two) color photographs with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm (four centimeters by six centimeters) with a white background.
    5. Letter of recommendation from the authorized agency in charge of the workforce or other relevant agencies/institutions.
    6. Letter of recommendation from the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) for applicants who are citizens of certain entities who work or are officials at the Chamber of Commerce.

Sponsors or foreign nationals can apply for a visa on the official website of the Directorate General of Immigration at www.imigrasi.go.id or directly on the Online Visa Approval application.

The granting of a multiple-entry visitor visa submitted by foreign nationals proceeds through the following stages:

  1. review of the submitted documents;
  2. payment of immigration fees by applicants;
  3. profiling and verification
  4. visa approval
  5. visa issuance
  • The processing time for a visitor visa is 4 (four) working days after the applicant completes the immigration fee payment. Sponsors or applicants can check their visas in the Online Visa Approval application account and email.
  • Temporary Stay Visa: US $150 per application
  • Temporary Stay Visa approval: Rp200,000 per application
  • Temporary Stay Permit for 6 months/180 days: Rp1,000,000 per application
  • Temporary Stay Permit for 1 year: Rp1,500,000 per application
  • Temporary Stay Permit for 2 years: Rp2,000,000 per application
