BALI – The Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) has arrested three foreign nationals (WNA) from Russia who violated their stay permits by working as Commercial Sex Workers (PSK). The DGI arrests of the foreigners with the initials VS, IL, and TE were carried out through an immigration enforcement operation in the Bali area. "Based on information from the public, some villas in Seminyak have suspicious activity. Officers then rushed to the place and managed to raid three pairs of Indonesian citizens and foreigners," said the Director General of Immigration, Silmy Karim, Thursday (09/03/2023).
Immigration officers then secured and took the three couples for investigation. After being investigated, VS, IL, and TE were proven to be prostitutes. VS and TE are known to enter Indonesia using a B211A Visitor Visa, while IL uses a Visa on Arrival (VoA).
For their activities, Immigration deported the three women on Friday (10/03/2023) and placed their names on the entry prevention list. The three will leave Indonesia via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, at 21.05 WITA (Central Indonesian Times) using Turkish Airlines flight TK67 to Istanbul, Turkey, and then continue with Turkish Airlines flight TK417 to their country of origin.
"Immigration at the central and regional levels is getting stricter in enforcement operations. Our commitment to providing the best service for Indonesian citizens and foreigners is accompanied by a law enforcement function, executed humanely, and the TIM PORA (Foreigners Monitoring Team). On the other hand, we invite the public to participate in maintaining the security of their neighborhood by reporting any foreigners' suspicious activity," he stated.
