Someone else can collect your passport four days after interview with these conditions

Indonesian Passport Applicants can collect their passports four (4) working days after the interview session with immigration officer. This is in accordance with the provisions of Article 22 of the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights No. 18 of 2022. "However, the passport issuance process for four working days only applies to first-time passport and passport renewal applications under normal conditions. If the passport application is made because the passport is lost or damaged, then it will be more than four days due to another additional process called Passport Investigation Report (BAP)," explained the Sub-Coordinator of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Immigration, Achmad Nur Saleh, on Monday (08/14/2023). Achmad also said that applicants do not need to worry if they are unable to collect their passports. Collection can be represented by family members listed on the same Family Card (KK) or other people they trust. If the collection of the passport is represented by a family member from the same KK as the applicant, then the person is required to attach their identity (e-KTP and KK) and bring the proof of payment for the passport. If the collection of the passport is represented by someone other than a family member from the same KK, then they are required to attach a power of attorney signed by the applicant (on a stamp duty) and proof of payment for the passport. "Passport applicants are advised to pick up their passports within 30 calendar days from the date of passport issuance. If it exceeds 30 days, the passport will be canceled," said Achmad. If the passport is not picked up after 30 days and is canceled, the applicant must reapply for the passport. "The applicant needs to request a letter of cancellation of the passport application from the immigration office first. Only after this they can reapply for a passport," he concluded.
